Experiencing Puerto Galera – Tukuran Falls

We arrived at Puerto Galera around 11 AM. We checked in at the Hotel, ate our lunch, change our outfits and get ready for our first activity – Tukuran Falls.

Ate Merlyn, the reservations officer from VM Beach Resort offered us a trip to Tukuran Falls including the Carabao Ride, Tamaraw Falls, Hanging Bridge and Virgin Island for 2000 pesos, all in (that’s all for the three of us). Ate Merlyn seems very kind and nice to us and since we don’t have enough time to negotiate with others, we all agreed to her offer.

We started our activity at 2PM. It is an hour and a half tricycle ride to Tukuran Falls. The sun is hot but is bearable. Along the way, we saw the famous Tamaraw Falls but we opted to head first at Tukuran since it is the farthest of all. The road going to Tukuran is a bit dusty and bumpy.

Upon arrival at the jump off, we have two options: (1) to ride a carabao which costs 400 pesos or (2) To walk for free. Carabao ride is included in our package so off we go!

Puerto Galera- The Arrival

Puerto Galera located in Oriental Mindoro, is one of the well-known beaches in the Philippines not just for its beauty but also because of its proximity and accessibility from Manila. Puerto Galera has a lot to offer: Water Activities, Night Life, Falls hopping, Food Tripping, Bar Hopping or just simply Beach Bumming. One can never get bored in PG. Never.

Just recently, I, together with my college buddies [Ron and Ehm] had our chance to visit PG. Ehm got a month break from work at Qatar and she wanted to have a memorable vacation here in PH. She asked me if I can organize our tour and of course, who am I to said no.

Ehm and I left Cavite City around 4:30 in the morning, we rode a Saulog Bus bound to Coastal where we will meet Ron. We waited for about half an hour just to find out that Ron is late. So we decided to ride another bus bound to Buendia (Look for LRT Ayala Leveriza Signboard, fare is 12 pesos), and just wait for Ron there.
